Free Blog Ping



If you have a blog, configure your blog software or service to ping these sites automatically every time you publish a new item in your blog. Publishing (and pinging) frequently will keep your blog and its RSS feed on the web-wide lists of most-updated sites, which will bring more traffic and more search engines to check out your blog and the website behind it. Cut-and-paste these URLs into your blog software's pinger list.

Note: I have inserted a few relevant comments below. Do not copy the comments into your ping list, just copy the URLs you want to ping.

Pingomatic, the first pinger listed, automatically pings Weblogs, Moreover, Syndic8, My Yahoo, Technorati, Feedburner, audio Weblogs, Blo.gs, BlogDigger, BlogRolling, BlogStreet, Feedster, Pubsub, WeBlogALot, NewsGator, a2b, BlogShares and Rubhub. Occasionally there are reports that Pingomatic does not appear to reliably ping all of these all of the time, so you might want to ping them yourself too.


I've listed most of the individual URLs below the Pingomatic URL. Audio Weblogs is only useful to ping if your blog actually has audio (podcast) content. a2b is only useful to ping if you have appropriate geographical locator tags on your blog website. Rubhub is only useful to ping if you have XFN relationships defined on your site (if you do not know what XFN relationships are, you do not have them on your site).
